A garden club for the whole valley
An active, inclusive community group where gardeners of every age and skill level share the love of gardening.
When we meet
First Tuesday of the month
February through June and September through December, starting at 6:30 pm. There is no meeting in January.
St. James Anglican Church hall
2315 Patterson Avenue, Armstrong, BC
Visitors are welcome. Come to a meeting before you join, and see whether the room suits you.
What we do
Learn, grow, and have fun
Work parties
Planting the petunias along Pleasant Valley Boulevard, and getting the plant sale ready each May.
Parlour shows
Members bring in what is blooming and share it with the room. Friendly, and a little competitive.
Speakers and workshops
A guest at most meetings, on everything from xeriscaping to pruning to growing food in the valley.
Tours
Visits to garden centres and to each other's gardens through the growing season.
Save the date
The annual plant sale
The Saturday morning of Mother's Day weekend. Bring a flat box, a bit of cash, and a friend. Arrive early for the best selection.
